Bob Regan was born Robert Frederickson in 1931 near the Canadian/Alaskan border. As a child, Bob was a gifted musician playing guitar, fiddle, harmonica and mandolin. He toured with his brother's Keray Regan band and was a fine guitarist though still in his teens. After Keray retired to run a studio, Bob toured with his sister Fern in Canada and the U.S.
Bob met his wife to be Lucille Savoie at a wedding where he was playing and soon teamed up as the duo Bob and Lucille. Bob's fine guitar playing came to the notice of Syd Nathan of Cincinnati's King label and issued their classic Eeny Meeny Minny and Big Kiss Off. As the Canadian Sweethearts, they signed a contract with Soma records and recorded No Help Wanted and The Flirtin Kind. Their French Song became popular in Canada and Europe. After Bob and Lucille parted ways, Bob carried on as a soloist and later formed a new duo with Karre J. Rose but never recorded together. Bob died of cancer in 1990.
